The Yuan Qin viola is an advanced Chinese-made instrument, offering the pre-professional player a soloistic tone quality, at an affordable price. Featuring a bright projecting sound, its impressive performance and superior tonal qualities make the Yuan Qin a popular choice with students and teachers alike. Clean and detailed workmanship produce instruments with a strong, sweet, resonant tone.
Yuan Qin violas are hand-carved from aged, select tone-woods. Spruce top of medium to fine grain. Maple back of well defined, narrow to medium flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in a spirit varnish of a pleasant reddish brown on a golden ground. Each viola is shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house (Tucson, AZ) luthiers, to assure excellent playability. Outfit includes #VACR7 Kaplan rosin: Your choice of case and bow. Made in China.
