The Klaus Mueller Prelude viola can be ordered on its own (“Instrument Only”), or by Building an “Outfit” (including a case, bow, and rosin).
The Klaus Mueller Prelude Viola has a large, open sound with easy response. Each viola is hand carved from well chosen tone-woods and shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house luthiers, to assure excellent playability. The Prelude viola has a spruce top of medium grain, inlaid purfling, two-piece back of plain maple (with ribs and scroll similar to back), and finished in an even, warm golden brown. Outfit includes rosin and your choice of case and bow. Made in China.

I am an accomplished violinist. This viola is more responsive than my $3000.00 Guenter Reuter violin. You can just touch a string with the bow and the note rings for a long time. Very gutsy. Great projection. The brasilwood bow is excellent. I can’t believe I got all this for $274.00. What a bargain. I won’t need to upgrade to another viola when I master this one. I like cello most of all, but I live in an RV and have no room. The viola is an octave above the cello and much easier to store when you don’t have much space. The description on the website says that this model is made of plain maple. I was overjoyed to find that this one has beautiful flames. I must have received a rare one. I love the dark, rich tone. Almost like playing a cello.

It is worse than than the Cecilio violas. I came to this website to buy a viola and it was a waste of time! The rosin is worthless and unusable the bow was horrible and was fake horsehair and kept on ripping. No matter how much rosin I put on it wouldn’t play, why? The ROSIN WAS FAKE!!!! The viola did not come with a case and the strings on the viola kept on breaking. Then I bought the $3000 viola and it was an AWESOMESAUSE viola! RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL: Do Not Buy This Viola
