The strings I purchased were the Helicore heavy strings and they sound GREAT on this particular violin. Not fond of the “e-string” but feel that’s the fault of the bridge needing to have some mass removed. I use the Helicore brand for most of my students as they respond well and seldom break and don’t go dead like more expensive Dominants which take longer to break in and sound awful once they do.
