The Klaus Mueller Prelude cellos have laminated spruce and maple construction which enhances durability, yet retains an even, warm tone. Two piece back. Scroll of solid maple. Each cello is professionally shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house luthiers, to assure excellent playability. Finished in a dark red-brown on a golden ground. Outfit includes rosin, and your choice of case and bow. If you have ordered a Thermoplastic case, it will arrive in a separate package. Made in China.

disappointed in the tuning, comes out of tune too easily, I understand it will get better, but you should look at the design used on guitars. I would prefer function over form.

The cello has a lovely tone and pleasing look. However, the endpin is crooked and the plug is not flush with the base. Also, the bridge is WAY TO HIGH to be playable and I will need to spend the time/money to have that addressed. These sorts of things should have been part of an inspection or play-test before the instrument was sold to me.
