The Yuan Qin cello is an advanced Chinese-made instrument, offering the pre-professional player a soloistic tone quality, at an affordable price. Featuring a balanced projecting sound, its impressive performance and superior tonal qualities make the Yuan Qin a popular choice with students and teachers alike. Clean and detailed workmanship produce instruments with a strong, balanced, sweet and resonant tone.
The Yuan Qin cello is hand-carved from aged-select tone woods. Spruce top of narrow to medium grain. Inlaid purfling. Two piece maple back of well defined, narrow to medium flame. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Antiqued and finished in a spirit varnish of a pleasant reddish brown on a golden ground. Each cello is professionally shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house (Tucson, AZ) luthiers, to assure excellent playability.
Outfit includes #VACR7 Kaplan rosin and your choice of case and bow.
