We haven’t had this violin long, but so far we are very happy with it. It sounds beautiful. There is a noticeable difference in this violin and the student violin my daughter has played for the last two years. I am also very pleased with the case. It looks very nice and seems sturdy. We always purchase our violins and strings at Southwest Strings.

The violin is of very excellent quality. I like that it has a more mellow tone as opposed to pitchy. The case is beautiful with built in hygrometer. The packaging was superb.

This violin was recommended to me by my teacher as my first violin. It’s a very nice instrument, perfect for my level and for several years to come. My teacher has several specific requests for the setup of this instrument, which SW Strings did to the letter. The violin is not without some small issues: the sound post placement is very odd, and the black whatever on the fingerboard has rubbed off slightly. Both issues are minor; the position of the sound post is easily rectified but not urgent (or even really important, according to my teacher). I would recommend this instrument wholeheartedly to the learner who has committed to learning but not yet ready (or needs to) step up the the more expensive “keeper” instrument. Not that I will ever get rid of this one, this will be a great backup violin in the future.
