Experienced European luthiers craft each Klaus Mueller Bucharest by hand. These instruments are light in weight but big in sound from meticulous graduation of the spruce top. The Bucharest violin features a bold and resonant sound with excellent projection, allowing intermediate players to build upon their technique and musical expression.
Klaus Mueller Bucharest violins are carved from European tone-woods. Spruce top with medium-wide grain. Inlaid purfling. Two piece maple back. Maple ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in a brownish amber color. Each violin is shop adjusted by our experienced, in-house luthiers, to assure excellent playability. Outfit includes rosin and your choice of strings, case, and bow. Made in Romania.

We upgraded our son, who is starting middle school this year with the Bucharest Violin. The sound was much better than his previous violin. Robert from Southwest Strings was a great help in answering all of our questions. Adon made sure that it came in time to tune for the start of school. The violin arrived quickly and was in beautiful condition. I highly recommend this violin and Southwest Strings.

I had posted what I believe to be a fair review of the violin and the quality of customer service (with a good amount of details on the look and sound of the violin), and because it was not 4 or 5 stars, they seem to have removed my review. Very poor business practices.
In short, be careful when buying this violin, as they will likely send you an imperfect product (mine had a gash) and tell you that there is nothing they can do for you because the violin technically still functions.
