Thomastik-InfeldSpirocore bass strings produce a powerful and clear sound. Made of multi-wire, spiraled steel core, these strings offer brightness andstrong projection, with a more pliable touch under the fingers, while remaining extremely responsive and crisp.

Spirocore bass strings are preferred especially among jazz bassists for their powerful sound and excellent response to pizzicato.  The lower strings are also very popular in mixed sets.

The Weich (light) gauge is an option offering quicker response and more mellow sound. Weich is available as a set only.

For string set designed specifically for orchestral playing, consider Thomastik Belcanto bass strings.
