Pirastro “Permanent” Orchestra-tuning Bass strings are a modern rope-core steel string especially suited for arco and soloistic playing. Permanent bass strings project a brilliant, clear, and focused sound, with powerful volume!

The core material is a high-tensile rope (made from carbon steel), which is wound with nickel. This string composition allows for a very quick response, stability of pitch, and a brief break-in time.

Pirastro Permanent Bass strings are ideal for both arco and pizzicato, through their high elasticity, lively sound, and excellent projection!
