  1. Fantastic A, D, and G

    Nate (verified owner)

The A, D, and G strings are phenomenal, especially the G string. The C string sounds nice, but the diameter is too thick. All the strings have relatively spaced-out winding, which makes them more flexible and responsive than other brands but also makes tuning more difficult (they tend to “jump” in pitch as you tune, catching on the bridge). Still, I prefer them to Versum and Perpetuals. I am currently using an Evah Soloist C.

  2. Good Value

    Joshua (verified owner)

The “A” can sound metallic from behind the cello, but it really doesn’t go out to the audience as much. Other than that, I’m very happy with the quality of these strings for their price.

Prim G beat out the silver wound soft Jargar!

    Diane (verified owner)

I was unhappy with the Jargar G, kind of scratchy and didn’t speak as fast as I wanted. Looking to experiment, I started with the inexpensive Prim. Wow! Comfortable tension and density, sounds warm and sings. When it comes time to replace, I’m going to try the Prim C, also.
