Perpetual cello strings are Pirastro’s most powerful cello set, boasting assertiveness and projection. Minimal break-in time and great dynamic range enhance the unique natural qualities of each cello.

The sound of the Perpetual Medium cello set is crystal clear and precise, powerful and grand, with long sustaining power and an impressively precise sound. Each string responds easily and directly with incredible depth and volume. This is especially impressive with the G and C strings which respond immediately to the lightest bow techniques.

In addition to the Perpetual Medium strings, Perpetual Edition, Perpetual Solo, and Perpetual Cadenza options are also available:

  • Perpetual “Edition” balances the full spectrum of warmth and projection. 
  • The “Solo” variant is designed for greater brilliance and projection.
  • The “Cadenza” G and C string option has a lower tension and facilitates a lighter and easier response.
