Description

Thomastik-Infeld has launched the Rondo strings for viola. For years they have been available for luthiers to use in-house on finer violins, but now they have been launched for viola and cello as well.

Rondo was designed to bring out the finest qualities of advanced instruments, offering subtle and sophisticated nuance. A true step up to a premiere, professional level string.

Testimonials speak of providing excellent projection under dynamic demands, and yet being rich and expressive under the slightest bow pressure. Rondo is an excellent choice to explore the color and voice that may be unrealized in your instrument.

4/4 only, Medium gauge only

    As a player you already

    Aaron (verified owner)

As a player you already know that you can push the sound of your instrument one direction or the other and part of that process is knowing the materials the string is made from…so I attempt try out all strings to see what the sound like …so when these new strings came out I thought they could produce an interesting sound because they were the only string made from these combination of materials …so I tried the D and G viola strings on my violin after studying the spec charts …these strings have lots of tone but still have a fast bowing action …so if you want more tone that bows almost like a steel cored string …give these Rondos a try
