D’Addario Ascenté violin strings are synthetic-core strings intended for players of all levels and ages. Ascenté violin strings have been specifically designed to help players advance their craft with elegance and consistency. With a wide tonal range, excellent pitch stability, and the superior durability of D’Addario Orchestral strings, this new synthetic-core string delivers a sophisticated palette that elevates tone quality to its full potential!
While the E strings are made of tinned carbon steel and the A strings are Aluminum-wound, the D and G strings are wound with Monel: a nickel-copper alloy with high tensile strength and resistance to corrosion.
The Ascenté Violin set has solid orange silking at the ball end. Available in medium tension only.

I thought the string set had promise. However, the A string would not tune. Eventually, it broke. I am disappointed with this set of strings.

Count on D’Addario to come up with another great string set! These play in within a day, and settle very quickly. Very easy to play on, and in fact they have a very warm sound that would probably be favorable for a recording musician. Thanks for providing these, Southwest!

For the price, they are really nice strings. On my student model violin (Klaus Mueller Bucharest) I paired the A and E with D’addario Zyex G and D. It was a fantastic combo. The A and E are not shrill and they last a long time.
