Quick break-in, big sound, and quick response. I purchased the heavy gauge, as my fiddle seems to speak with them better, but I’m sure the mediums would be just fine. Trial and error

I recently upgraded my violin, just a few months ago, and have been experimenting with strings to find what best matches my violin. After many trials, I decided to try the Amo strings. I’ve never used them before but had read good things about them in other reviews and from the description, they seemed a good fit. All I can say is, WOW! They are warm, without sounding muddy; they have significant volume; they’re rich with excellent depth and ring to them; even the E string is outstanding. These strings make my violin sound more expensive than it is. Finally, no switching out the E string! They sounded great from the start but I could tell they need a little break in time. Still, I loved the sound from the minute I put them on. Excellent strings!

Recently replaced all 4 strings with my new Amos. Huge improvement in response and tone – love ‘em, even the E! Southwest strings responded pretty timely too, especially in tough times due to COVID-19. Great experience all around!
