Pirastro Oliv Viola Strings

Description

Pirastro Oliv violastrings are the standard by which other viola gut strings aremeasured. Long known for their superior quality of warmth and depth,Pirastro Oliv viola strings offer the musician purity of sound and acomplexity found only in finely made gut strings.

The A and D strings have a ball-end, while the G and C strings have a tie knot end in the traditional gut style.

The D, G, and C are available in the Standard or Rigid style. The Rigid provides a darker and more powerful sound as compared to the standard strings. The Eudoxa-Oliv C string is also available for those that desire an alternative C for either the Eudoxa or Oliv sets.

A string: Aluminum overgut (13.25 -14.25g)

D string: Gold-Aluminumover gut (16 – 16.5g)

G string: Gold-Silverover gut (16.75 – 17.25g)

C string: Tungsten-silverover gut (19.5 – 20g)

D string: Silver over gut (14 – 14.5g)

Rigid string composition:

D string: Gold-Aluminum over gut (16.75 – 17.25)

G string: Gold-Silver over gut (16 – 16.5g)

C string: Tungsten-silver over gut (20.75 – 21.25)
