The shell is made from a dense, pressurized Styrofoam covered with a black screw attached, Cordura cover. Interior of plush black velveteen. Weight (4/4) 7 lbs.

My son has to transport his cello every week on the bus to and from school and this case is perfect! It is light, has straps, and wheels and foam on the interior. It is a perfect amount of safety fir the cello while being light and easy to carry. Purchase and shipping were quick and efficient as well. Thank you!

Cello case seems durable and well made, it’s light weight. Unfortunately, this is not a suspension case…the back is nearly flat meaning that the cello lays on the middle of the back NOT the edges or ribs. Tried to return, the company wanted $118 to ship it back…it only cost $180 so I guess I’ll keep it and see if I can make some type of suspension pillow so my cello doesn’t crack. You would think this would be disclosed in the info but it is not.

I was looking for a case that I could easily transport, including lifting to my car, to replace the much heavier fiberglass case the came with my cello. In that, it’s just what I was looking for, and at a very reasonable price. I did install some straps with Velcro to hold my bows, as the plastic pivoting holders squeezed the hair on the bows. Also the exterior zipper sticks badly when going around a “corner,” and nearly impossible to move around from the bottom of the case to the side. That said, as one review said, since it only goes to and from lessons, I do not zip the bottom of the case as around the top and long side are secure enough.
I’ve had better cases with previous instruments, but as I’m not expecting any serious travel with the cello, I’m pleased with the purchase overall. For the beginner or intermediate home cellist, I would definitely recommend.

One screw was loose when it arrived. The shipping company also busted a hole in the boy and didn’t handle it carefully. It is serving its purpose but was disappointed in the delivery and the lack of quality in the screws. Hoping it will hold up long term.

Great company!! Fast turn around and good packaging!!! The extra plastic used in the packaging kept my daughters cello case dry during a rainy day delivery….
