The Prelude Cello Case is popular for its light weight and insulation properties.
The shell is made from a dense, pressurized Styrofoam covered with a black screw attached, Cordura cover. Interior of plush black velveteen. Weight (4/4) 7 lbs.

Exactly what we needed. My daughter’s original cello case had fallen apart. It wasn’t much higher quality than a school backpack but this one is ridged and sturdy. It will be able to handle travel for many years to come.

The case is great. Very happy with the cost and is exactly what we were hoping for. It is big and bulky but that is what is protecting the cello! As some of the other people said, the zippers can be hard to get around the corners. The pocket for holding music is very convenient.
