The BAM Performance cello covers are the epitome of quality. They not only have an exceptional appearance, they offer superior protection. The quality of workmanship and materials assure a long life and an attractive aesthetic. These soft covers feature a velvet lined interior assuring utmost comfort for the instrument. The exterior is a polyurethane coated nylon. Both the fabric and zipper offer water proof protection. There is a foam padding that surrounds the instrument offering increased protection against thermal extremes and impact. These covers include 2 adjustable, padded backpack straps, as well as a side and front handle. The bridge has reinforced external padding that offers extra protection, as well as an insulated bow sleeve. There is a full size sheet music pocket, and two smaller accessory pockets.

My skinny carbon fiber Luis and Clark cello fit fine, but my regular Stradivarius model 4/4 cello didn’t fit. I spent 20 minutes trying to shape the pads around it before I gave up. I’m not willing to squish down on the bridge area to get the zippers to work. The bow pocket also did not fit a bow case in length. Width and depth indicated that a case should have fit, but the pocket was two inches too short. The accompanying Bow Sleeve was a joke for protection. If I had a $1000 cello and a $50 bow, I’d have been okay with forcing the instrument into the case-but I’m not a beginner, so I sent this product back. Also of note: I had to pay to ship it back. Amazon has free returns.
